Technical partner Hanergy in order to gather energy in free reality.
Aston Martin Racing and picture partner Hanergy Thin Film Authority trialed the team's first solar panel technology project yesterday at the FIA Human race Endurance Championship (WEC) Six Moments of Sao Paulo.
The display, aimed at using energy from the sun's raw heat to help power auxiliary systems upon the V8 Vantage GTE, was stated at the 24 Hours of Le Guys earlier this year. Following a close working alliance between the two engineering experts, some sort of technology was trialed in cost practice one ahead of the six-hour engeance.
"The idea behind the solar panel technology project is to help develop in addition to demonstrate the potential of the Hanergy filter film photovoltaic panels for use to both race and road vehicles, " explains Dan Sayers, Technical Movie director at Aston Martin Racing. "The electricity generated by the cells then can be used to power auxiliary systems, including the air conditioning system, that currently eat power from the engine. "
Their thin film solar panels, designed in addition to manufactured by Hanergy Thin Film Authority, have been on the roof of the #97 Advantage GTE for the last four rounds during the WEC while the team developed some sort of technology back at Aston Frank Racing's headquarters in Banbury, INDIAN.
At the iconic Interlagos Circuit near Sao Paulo, Brazil, the making team connected the panels in addition to began collecting valuable data needs to move the project forward outside winter months.
"This test was the novice that the system has gone active additionally it was a great success which is a testament to the Hanergy product and support, " answers Sayers. "We hope to have the computer operating fully in the 2015 WEC. "
