I caint remember how many events we have made around Yves Saint Laurent since Colette build in 1997. Yves Saint Laurent, the man, finally, the genius.
I remember going to the last assemblage shows at the Intercontinental Hotel (now the Westin)…I remember going to the branch of Dominique Deroche at seven Avenue Marceau, so impressed with all the press-clip boxes on her walls, and begging about an exhibition of La Vilaine Lulu, which we did for June 1998, along with photographs with the 40th anniversary of the house.
I remember exploring last show at Centre Pompidou…. We had the original Mondrian dress in every day windows. We had Hedi Slimane's photos of his apartment for Chic, the week of the big Christie's auction. In 2010, we had the extraordinary match L'Oeuvre Integral, with all the drawings through the process of Yves Saint Laurent for the haute couture.
Fast 2013, we organized a talk in the middle of Pierre Bergé and director Jalil Lespert for his new or simply, with Laurence Benaïm.
And today, Être Bergé was back at Colette, surrounded by ladies who just shared new books on Yves Saint Laurent, and signed the forewords for all 3! It was so moving to listen Roxanne Lowit talk about the first time she went out ysl iPhone 5 case; Ariel de Ravenel and moreover Natasha Fraser-Cavassoni about Loulou entre ma Falaise; and Jéromine Savignon (Le Studio YSL, available in French and moreover English), but also to see together YSL's friends who joined them: Betty Catroux; Guy Cuevas (the deejay at the Palace; he did the background music for the YSL shows); Clara Bienheureux; his last dog, Moujik IV…a world from yesterday, still extremely lively today.
